September 12th Clean-Ups

Join us Friday, September 12th at 400 Benjamin Franklin Drive, Sarasota (small covered area between Lido Beach Concession Stand and Lido Beach), for a morning of Beach Cleanup at 9:00-10:00am. Reusable cleanup bags and gloves will be provided. I will discuss any animals that are found along the way. We will also be conducting our first snorkel clean-up at the jetty South from where we meet for the beach clean-up. We have collected over 100 feet of line on our last three snorkel trips along with several lures and hooks. We have some masks and snorkels for people who do not own any. Please contact us if you are interested in attending. Our goal is to educate our youth by showing them the importance of our oceans. Sarasota Ocean Preserves is made possible through a grant from the Youth Ocean Conservation Team in partnership with Mote Marine Laboratory. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment or to email me at oceanpreservers@gmail.com
