Sarasota Ocean Preservers is a program for youth and adults that combines beach, kayak, and underwater cleanups with an emphasis on marine life education.
SOP officially started in 2013. I wanted to find a way to engage more youth in caring for the environment. Cleanups are held monthly in Sarasota, FL. Our cleanups do not add any additional plastic to the environment. We use reusable bags and gloves when gathering marine debris. We have beach, kayak, and underwater cleanups - something for everyone. Join us and gain a new appreciating for the ocean and the amazing creatures that inhabit its waters.
